The DfES work closely with their strategic ict partnering body, Becta to identify suitable ICT suppliers for education customers.

Becta have established a number of Accreditations and Purchasing Frameworks, that ensure educational institutions are able to buy products and services with confidence, i.e. that they are dealing with a supplier that understands education, can provide a high level of service, and where the procurements are large, is eu approved (requiring no additional tendering process).

Core actively supports the DfES and Becta initiatives, and we currently hold the following:

Visiting the Becta website provides schools with a wide range of information on these schemes, and there are also a number of tools that can help schools assess their own ICT progress and how to meet future requirements.
